Who came first, the gods or the humans? - by gods, I mean the gods of the various pantheons, the divine beings of religion.

The source behind the gods we work with is not only “out there” but “within us. If this is the case, perhaps we created the gods from the depths of our spirits.

However (I believe), there is a Source in the Universe that is All, and perhaps the divine within us all is the sum of that Source, and this is what connects all of us.

If we created the god(s), did we do so to attain a more tangible connection to The Source?
