And you, who walk the daytime
Consumed by earthly routine chores,
To have loved you once and laughed with you,
Could we have asked for more?
So we gaze at you left behind us,
From your realm whence we once availed,
For it’s a question just of mortal time
Before your flesh too will fail
Wish us well, we plead and ask you,
Spirit-world will reciprocate,
Let healing and good intention
Displace remorse and hate.
Some of us are deeply sorry
For deeds done when once we lived
We implore you for your forgiveness
That outstanding scores be bridged.
Some of us thought that we knew far better
Our lives turned sad and hard
Our optimism turned to black despair
Leaving shattered dreams in shards.
For you whom we’ve left behind,
Feel for us as we feel for you,
We pray serenity and peace of mind
You will eventually find.
Some of you are deeply anxious
To breach veils to our spirit-ways,
After the twilight gloom of evening
Under Luna’s soothing rays.
Stretch forth your hands towards us,
Be mindful of spirit-world
For how can we ignore you,
When such impassioned pleas unfurl?
Hail the Keepers of every Quarter!
Call protective powers to place
Draw tight the protection circle
Fusing light with Gifts of Grace.
Build your most sacred spirit-fire,
As old shamans did before,
May glowing embers and good intention
Open up spirit-door …
In the world of charcoal shadow,
Cast by a bright full moon,
Stretch out your hands with love and yearning,
Come make contact with us soon!
