Guinean witchdoctors reign of terror in Gambia and Liberia

When the rule of law is undermined by religious fanaticism, justice is not just blind, she is often deaf and mute too. AllAfrica.com (April 5) and the Liberian Observer (April 8) reported that "hundreds" of Guineans and Liberians had allegedly confessed to participating in witchcraft activities. Their confessor is a 22 (AllAfrica) or 25 (Liberian Observer) year old Guinean witchdoctor named Tamba Kamanon. The witchdoctor was invited to Liberia by village elders concerned about "mysterious" disappearances and unexplained deaths.
