Phase 3 of Project Hypatia: artworks by Luke Martin exhibited at a local Art Gallery aroused curiosity and were described as being "disturbing". Project Hypatia aims at the rehabilitation of the word "Witch", and also in empowering constructive action to counter anti-witchcraft propaganda.
In our country old women and men are still "necklaced" and
executed by mobs for being witches, families still disown their heretical relatives who chose to walk an occult
path, university professors still argue the validity of our ownership of the word "witch".
Project Hypatia proposes education, inter-faith discussions which aim at eradicating misinformation, and the members of the SAPC would be free to approach this in the way they collectively decide.
well done

I support this project.
Obviously
Thu, 11/12/2009 - 19:10 — MorgauseObviously when such artworks are exhibited, the viewer is possibly shaken and has a thousand questions to ask about the subject matter. SAPC pamphlets [put together by Damon, Luke and myself for the Religious Summit at Freedom Park earlier this year] are distributed and the artist, along with members of Lunaguardia and the SAPC, then guide the art patrons through the symbols and allegories of each art piece elucidating the objectives and aims of Project Hypatia.
Part four of this project is already well underway ... So far, the exhibition counts 7 oil paintings on canvas.
