Forum Policies

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE FOLLOWING LIST RULES/CODE OF CONDUCT APPLIES:

1. This list is for the purpose of serious discussion around issues affecting all SA Pagans, not for jokes, events, recipes etc.

2. Play the ball not the man. Members using inappropriate language, launching personal attacks, or behaving in any manner that is not professional and courteous are liable to have their membership revoked and be banned by the list owners

4. No spam, or advertising for any service whatsoever is allowed on this list. Permission must be applied for by the list owners.

5. No flaming i.e. deliberately provoking other members with the intention of starting a fight/flame war.

6. The moderators reserve the right to edit any posts that are not beneficial to the collective cause.

7. Rules of Engagement: The weapons are philosophy, the ammunition is opinion and the armor is logic.
•All opinions posted must be well justified in context to the topic under discussion.
•New topics may be initiated by any forum member.
•Topics should be well-defined and if any posting may cause a discussion to digress from the topic, a new topic should be posted under the appropriate heading. The list-owner reserves the right to deem a topic inappropriate for discussion on the SAPC forum. Forum members are encouraged to continue these inappropriate discussions off-forum.
•All forum members posting opinions must be prepared to be challenged.
•It is unacceptable for personal remarks to be accepted as a challenge to a posted opinion.
•All challenges to opinions must be quantified appropriately. Any forum member has the right to demand that an opinion be justified. The list owner reserves the right to request that a discussion cease or be taken off-forum immediately. Non-compliance will result in membership being revoked.
•If any forum member is offended by any opinion posted or by any topic under discussion, please contact the offending person off-forum and copy the list owner.
•Any forum member is entitled to lodge a formal objection against any other member at any time. All formal objections must be sent directly to the list owner and not posted on the open forum.
•All objections to the list owner must contain the following:
oCopies of the offending postings
oCopies of the direct off-forum correspondence with the offending member.
•The list owner will reply to all objections and decide on appropriate action. Their decision is final.
7. MODERATORS: Luke Martin / Morgause
•In 'the inevitable instance' of a situation about to flame up, each moderator will take one side and contact the parties for discussion.
•The moderators will liaise and try to find a compromise for the injured parties.
•If we cannot find a compromise, then we call in a neutral third party. Picked randomly from the forum members with no connection or bias.
.This third party will review the situation as we present it to them and advise the list-owner in order to make an unbiased decision about what actions to take.
