Sun, 10/17/2010 - 22:23 — StoneWarlockDo we not already have a Temple around us? Why must we restrict our current Temple by building walls around ourselves. Are our mountains not acceptable? Why a roof? Is our sky not more beautiful than the dome of the Sistine Chapel?
On a more practical note, we would be better advised to use any money we may have to help our fellow Pagans that have no jobs, food or shelter.

i agree that we have a wonderful temple all around us, however as Mize pointed out with the funds raised we could better assist our fellow pagan. PAN (Pagan Assistance Network) is an organisation that has been set up to assist our fellow pagan. the start is slow but will be steam rolling soon.

If you read the articles written in merit, the Pagan Temple refers to an edifice or not (as you prefer) surrounded by facilities and infrastructures where the unemployed and homeless Pagans could take refuge for a while or turn to in order whilst finding a new job, moral support,etc. It would also involve "assistance networking"- PAN on FB

Thu, 11/04/2010 - 13:07 — lord maxim denaparealthough a temple is a good idea we must not forget we are servants of nature and that she is our temple. why be like the christians? and infact if we build a temple we are just drawing attention to us and then everything we stand for would be for nought. i am not saying hide our faith away but be carefull how we show our faith do not forget humans always fear the things they do not understand.

Thu, 11/04/2010 - 13:31 — Andraste BoudiccaThe temple is not so we can honour only... the main aim of the facility is to provide a safe heaven to those who are going through the difficult portions of their life. To provide them with support, a place to stay and so forth.
There are many people that are in between jobs and struggling to provide for their kids.. I think a "temple" like that will provide a support structure to that they will be able to find a job and work for a living till they on their feet again.
A place to have our festivals. A place where we can have Pagan weddings, name-giving ceremonies and Pagan burial ceremonies ...
A safe heaven in all ways and forms... a support and place without any judgment and lots of love...
Mother Earth is still our temple... and in that provides something more to our people...
If I'm wrong M'Lady Morgause will be able to colour in...

This is how it was done by the Ancients ... folk went to the Temple for sanctuary, for healing, for training, etc.
