In Hinduism the word Dharma means “Law”, “duty”.
Although my interest in Hinduism is superficial I’d like to share the following from the Mahabahrata.
In it I find balance, honour and strength
Be religious, not bigoted.
Be virtuous, not self-righteous.
Be devout, not fanatical.
Speak gently, not insincerely.
Be generous, not wasteful.
Speak boldly, not harshly.
Seek information, not from the unreliable.
Serve your interest,
Without hurting others.
Ask advice, not from the unwise.
Praise virtue, not your own.
Serve, without deceit.
Be angry not without without strong cause.
Worship Deity without display.
